Ridiculous installation requirement

The scroll bar does not appear unless you happen to move the mouse over it,

It's like the Apps scroll bar then - the one that drives me crazy (on, off, on, off, on, off)
They had a lot going into the January release, they'll get to these things in the next few releases.

Yep before the actual install windows is just using a bare minimum driver for everything sort of like safe mode with networking so not everything highlights as it should,
But they made an extra attempt to integrate the disappearing scroll bar just for good measure

The point being, they already have existing systems in place running Windows, and are not running Linux.

It's like saying you have a Windows box... which many people say, even though it could obviously run many OS's.

I deliberately left the "Essentials" packages out, which would also include Photoshop essentials, and what not.. there are tons of permutations of that. Corel went on a buying spree.. they now own a number of packages that used to be owned by others.. Paint Shop Pro, for instance, was once owned by Jasc.

I also didn't include fairly powerful free/shareware, like Paint.NET (which certainly isn't as powerful as the gimp, but is much easier to use).

PSP 4 or 5 is, I think at least 10 years old.. may not even work in modern Windows... and may not support modern formats like PNG..

I misspoke on an earlier post - it was Corel Draw we used at work, not Adobe Photoshop.
And to this day, I can't seem to refer to PSP as Corel PSP, I still call it Jasc PSP :)

Probably closer to 20 years old (first used PSP on Win95 or Win98). I think PNG was supported, but the last time I tried to install it was XP or Vista - there were issues just getting it to run (old application, plus Corel had acquired Jasc , making finding 'fixes' more difficult). I gave up trying to get an old version of PSP to run and started using Gimp.

I think Mike was right, we're off the thread topic and should let the thread cycle back to the Windows installation issues. Thanks for all of the information in your posts.

You can change the time a notification is displayed in PC Settings -> Notifications

I think the default is 5 seconds.
