Weird Problem with Cumulative Update and 0x800705b4

"Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1511" (the one around 11/18 or 11/19) kept failing with error code 0x800705b4. The first time, I did a restart. Checked for updates and tried again. No change. I waited a day and tried again. No change. The update manager kept setting it up for installation but it would fail every time.

I had noticed that "Checking for Updates" would run for an hour or so and figured I would see if a faster connection might help. I disabled my wireless network connection and cabled directly to the Ethernet connection. The update installed properly, immediately. I know that sounds insane, but sometimes even Einstein is beaten by a minor tweak in the procedure.

(Nothing had changed in my wireless installation, all other applications seemed to run properly, and W10 seems to have been completely happy with it until this update came down. My two other computers are always wired and handled the update properly the day it came down.)

Could this update affect the Wi-Fi driver or function? That would explain why if fails midway. I hope your Wi-Fi connection works fine now. If it is affected, reinstall latest official driver from manufacturer.

Works fine. Before and after that update attempt everything was smooth, during.... not. I will be quicker to swap to Ethernet if it happens again, and will post if it does.
