Did you enable hidden files? When I enabled the files the missing files appeared.
No. I will do that now. By the way, do I enable hidden files in admin account or the regular user account? Thanks!

I just did the enabling hidden files in user account. This option is actually already checked. But I still cannot find the lost files.

Not sure which acct I used. Try the other and see what happens. Have you tried the other suggestions in this thread? My missing files were from the desktop, Where are yours?

Also do some more online searching. I found a few other suggestions as where to look in other forums. For me, they did not work.

I tried both accounts. Still couldn't find them. I moved some files to desktop after upgrading to win10. Then I was asked to restart. After the restart, those files I moved to desktop were gone. Before trying admin account, I tried a lot of other methods that didn't work. Anyway, I am giving up. I did a backup a few months ago. So it is not too bad. I am also downgrading back to win7 professional. Thanks for your help and the continuous reply! I really appreciate them! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
