    Windows 3.1 to Windows 10

Nothing = will not save any of your settings, files or apps
    And will only re-write C

It's like clean-installing on C. No applications preserved, no data. Other partitions are not affected.

It just means keep nothing on the install hard drive, it won't touch your other drives.

Some of the hidden system partitions may be resized and files updated, but if you have other visible partitions with Data on them they will remain untouched. I keep all my user folders on a second drive/partition and they are untouched when doing an upgrade or even a clean install. I usually do a custom install and manually delete the windows partition and system partitions with disk tools. Then install to the unallocated space. Windows will create the partitions it needs all on its own. My Data partition remains untouched. About the only thing I have to do is double check the drive letters when done. Sometimes my install thumb drive gets D and my Data drive gets E.
