SAMSUNG Laptop : Blocking Window Updates

I have just learned that Samsung have installed a program that blocks Windows Updates. I am trying to get the Windows 10 upgrade notification and came across an article about this. Can someone assist me with details on how I can unblock this Samsung install so that I am able to upgrade to Windows 10?

You can download the Windows 10 ISO directly from Tech Bench. To see if you have 32-bit or 64-bit Windows right-click on This Computer and select Properties to see your windows version. If you have Windows 7 Starter, Home Basic, Home Premium or Windows 8.1 it will be upgraded to Windows 10 Home. If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate or Windows 8.1 Pro it will be upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. Make sure you select the correct language and 32-bit or 64-bit. The same ISO can install both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro, depending on previous version (for upgrade) or key (for clean install). When upgrading you are not asked for a key. Windows 10 will activate automatically when connected to the internet.

TIP: If you see a message that you can only keep your files, but not your applications, read at the bottom of the window. You should have selected the wrong language. To do a full upgrade (keep all) you must use the same language as your current Windows version. This is the original, in case you have added language packs. If you later need the interface in another language, you can download the appropriate language pack.

You double-clicked and you triggered the default application which in your case is Windows Disc Image Burner. This will let you burn on a DVD disk. But it is not necessary. Right-click on the ISO and select Open with, there should be Windows Explorer in the list. If you choose to open with Windows Explorer, it will create a virtual DVD drive and mount the ISO. From there you can run setup directly without burning to a real disk.

Thank you ... yes I did read the article but that was dated June 2015, some 3,5 months later we still havent heard anything more from them on this. This was mentioned in my first post. Just thought that it had been sorted out and that I was having a problem installing but perhaps you are right and that the Bloatwear is still the problem. Thanks anyway

If you are interested in a clean install of Windows 10 rather than upgrading from 7 or 8.1, then you could download all the drivers necessary from manufacturer's site skipping any useless utility. This should make your everyday Windows 10 use much faster. The computer surely doesn't need all these utilities to work. Even the energy saving utility isn't necessary since Windows 10 have a similar feature built-in.
