When upgrading a computer's OS, you should always investigate and acquire every driver you'll need for your hardware.
You should also allow for the OS to settle in after the initial install. This can take a few minutes to even a day or two. Expectunusually long shut downs, boot ups, and random update installations/configurations during shutdown and boot up.
When a shutdown hangs, observe the HDD light almost every computer has somewhere within eyesight. If it's lit or flashing, don't force shutdown the machine. Wait until the light goes dark for at least a minute before forcing a shutdown.
Your motherboard is technically not supported in Windows 10. Most all of the components however function fine in Windows 10, but you'll not be able to receive any support from vendors (not that they're ever of much any real help anyway).
