I have this error as well, I'm thinking Logitech dinovo Bluetooth keyboard and mouse setup I use.
Sigh, frustrating.
I went here:
http://support.logitech.com/software/setpoint
and got the latest, ran it and upgraded my BT dinovo set.
Re-running the DVD ISO now to upgrade, if this version of setpoint is win 10 compatible, that could let me through now, we'll see.

My solution
I was upgrading a Samsung tablet PC from 8.1 x64 to Win10 x64 and received the same error code and screen shot error dark blue message screens that others have posted. After doing some research that was almost useless with vague references to WiFi or Realtek drivers maybe being the cause, one of the suggestions was to disable WiFi in the BIOS. I don't have that setting for some reason, so couldn't do that.
I ran the Samsung Software Update tool and everything was current. But I still went to Intel's site and it flagged a new version of the Intel ProSet Wireless drivers, so installed that.
Regardless, I still hardwired into my Internet connection, instead of using WiFi...re-ran the upgrade and it worked. That's my .02 cents...hope it helps someone.

This is the fix:
Remove all SATA HD SSD CD DVD BLU RAY Drives and USB add on card readers. Only leave the drive you are installing to connected. This removed the conflict and allowed the install to continue past 25%.

My Solution
I finally got my upgrade to Windows 10 working!!
It worked by disabling anti-virus and firewall and by unplugging everything but the monitor, mouse,
keyboard and my ethernet cable. I chose not to keep any files, settings or apps and then it worked.
Again: Why offer this possibility if it does not work, Microsoft?
I backed up and restored my drivers succesfully with Double Driver (Freeware).

I know people that just did the upgrade with no issues. And then there's people who have issues, mostly with driver conflicts aborting the install. MS can only do so much when it comes to third party drivers and it's up to the manufacturer to provide them. That said, my opinion is that this is the rough spot with the upgrade that needs some polish...and that will smooth out as hardware makers get up to speed with Win10 s/w & drivers. Geez...they've only had a year to be ready...LOL.

Success
Success for me - after several (about 9 attempts) - I uninstalled all Cisco things - specially Cisco VPN client and now everything wroks -
in Win10 I'm using Shrew VPN client what is working well (there is possible also import all PCF profiles from Cisco VPN client....)

Success - attempt number 8
I followed various recommendations with no success (unplug all peripherals, HP scan on laptop to check for latest drivers, clean boot, download ISO, remove AVG, remove Tune Up (or so I thought!)). My final successful attempt also did the following: uninstall a stray Tune Up Utilities, then I painstakingly went through Device Manager and manually updated the drivers for every single line - despite having done the HP scan, about 4 devices found newer drivers. I then started the install again from dvd (though I suspect it would have worked from the Microsoft push version) and it carried straight on past the 30% mark and First Boot. Hoorah. So it could have been either of the last two things I did but it's all running tickety boo now. Hope that helps someone, I was beginning to despair!
