Can an Asus Q525UA-BO012T run Windows 10?

My Asus Q525UA-BO012T came with Windows 11 installed. If I wanted to change the operating system to Windows 10 would my Asus Q525UA-BO012T be able to run Windows 10 okay? Thanks... Bob

It should but you need to activate 11 first then take a disk image why would you want to put a windows on thats soon out of support when you have the latest version?

Windows 11 came preinstalled on my new computer (bought from Best Buy). 11 seems very quirky to me and some of the programs that I have been using for years will not run correctly on it. I am very happy with my old Windows 10 laptop but it is coming to the end of its life span. I posed my question because the techs at Best Buy tell me that many of the new computers will not run Windows 10 correctly. This shocked me and I am looking to get other opinions here. I plan on calling Asus tomorrow and asking them the same question.

Looks like Samuria has gone offline.

When did you purchased that laptop?

A Google search shows that model first released in 2017 with Windows 10 installed and having an 8th generation processor, i-7 855OU.

I think the guy at Best Buy had it backwards. He should have said, "Not all Windows 10 devices can be officially upgraded to Windows 11".

You shouldn't have any problem 'Downgrading' to Windows 10. Just watch a video on the how to process. There are many more like this one on YouTube if this one doesn't suit you.

But I'd have to agree with Samuria, you'd be better off with Windows 11 unless your system can't run it.

If that's the case, we need to take a look at your 'System Specs' to find out if some of the installed hardware can be improved.

Maybe you're not running enough Ram. You may have 16GB installed and some of the programs you run require 32GB.

If you want to try to do a clean install of Windows 10, you can try it. Maybe you can downgrade from Windows 11 to Windows 10, see if you can find a tutorial online that could help you out.

But according to ASUS's site, it looks like that motherboard does support Windows 10:

Asus says Win 10 is fine

It turns out that I gave the wrong model number. I actually have an Asus M1603 bought new last week. Asus says it should be able to run Windows 10 with no problems.

Win 11 can't be downgraded to Win 10. You have to do a Windows 10 Clean Install, that is, boot from a Win 10 USB installation drive as UEFI, delete all partitions and then proceed.
Some precautions to take before the clean install.
    - Make a full drive image and save on an external drive. I suggest Macrium Reflect or Aomei backupper
    - Make a Device drivers backup

I suggest you build the USB Win 10 22h2 installation drive using MCT so it can boot as Legacy or UEFI.

Disable fast boot and secure boot (you can turn it on after installation)

Windows can be installed in two ways: Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT
To install as Legacy-MBR you must boot the installation drive as Legacy
To install as UEFI-GPT you must boot the installation drive as UEFI.

As you have a UEFI BIOS, you should install as UEFI-GPT
Detach any other drives (SATA or Power cable) from the MB.

During POST, press F12(?) to launch the boot menu. You will see two options for the USB drive. USB UEFI (Name) and USB (Name). Select USB UEFI (Name) to install as UEFI-GPT.
Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the main drive till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.
If you don't want to use MS account, don't enable updates or connect to the internet during installation.
