You can install Windows 10 on any partition or unallocated space the drive letter does not matter but Windows 10 assigns C: drive letter to boot drive.

Drive letters are assigned to partitions by the OS it is booting from.
Suppose you have two drives with Windows. If you boot from any of them, the windows partition that is in use will have the letter C: assigned to it. The other windows partition on the other drive will have a different drive letter.

    What do you mean by:
"How do I install windows on another drive besides C:\ "

    - Do you want to install windows on another drive / partition?

Not sure if he wants to set his choice of os letter or if he means something else.

Another way to install Windows 10 with another drive letter other than C: is to set up dual booting. You set up the partition to hold the second Windows 10 with the drive letter assigned that you want, let's say E:. Then from the Windows 10 installation USB flash drive, or the Windows 10 mounted ISO file you run setup.exe that is in the Sources folder, rather than the root folder. Select E: to install to and when it boots into that Windows installation, it will keep the drive letter it had before.

No Reply from RBCC! May be he doesn't know what he wants. May be TIA is a new filesystem or a special partition?

This program looks interesting. I would be happy to download it, but I need to know the name.

    TIA.

It is bcdbootdiskv24 now. Can your os/winpe run pecmd scripts or do you need an executable ?

os letter needs to be set after applying the image and before the setup phase.

If using windows setup.exe instead of booting straight into the applied os need to boot into a different os or winpe, set the letter, and then boot into the os.

Or if using the apply method, first apply the image then set the os letter then run bcdboot before booting into the newly applied os.
