    You should be able to boot into the Recovery Environment.
    Navigate to command prompt and type:
    bcdedit

    post the result
    Is there an entry :
    device ==> unknown?
    osdevice ==> unknown?

    Did a clean install. Runs much faster.
    After restoring C drive backup PC won't boot and super slow.
    windows\system32\winload.efi
    error code 0xc000000e

    Is there a way (Don't care if I have to start over)
    Clean install windows.
    backup certain bootfiles, or windows files.
    restore C drive minus certain files (so it keeps ones from clean install)

    It booted up in seconds and not minutes after clean install before restoring c drive.

    - You made a drive or C: partition image of your old system
    - You did a EFI - GPT clean install

    All you have to do is to boot from the disk image program rescue drive and replace the new C: partition with C: partition from your old system

    Backup from March has data needed. (Quicken, email etc) Backup from November boots but is formatted MBR. Computer is painfully slow once I received it back in March after repairs Was told it was hard drive but just as slow on SSD. Windows repair or restore point has never worked for me.

    As I already wrote, all you have to do is to boot from the disk image program rescue drive and replace the new C: partition (that is on the EFI-GPT drive that you just did a clean install) with C: partition from your backup.

    If you still have the drive that you deleted the two partitions it is quite simple to create a new EFI partition.
