using usb disc created on a UEFI laptop to reset an MBR pc

Hi I have a fairly old pc with a windows 10 pro OS with a version 22H2 Build19045.4123. I reset windows using a USB drive I created on a recently bought laptop running windows 10 Pro with UEFI. Since then the pc is running very poorly with some things it won't do like install the security update KB5034441 or reinstall the Proton VPN because I don't have the right credentials. Is there a way to get my MBR machine back without a clean install?

Try these in an admin command prompt
    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    followed by

    SFC /SCANNOW

A Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 10 iso) can be created on any Windows computer for use on a computer with MBR or GPT.

Consider performing another reset save files or custom install.

Yes, there is. Disable the recovery environment. Make a backup copy of your Windows partition. Delete all the partitions on the existing drive and re-initialize it as MBR. Create a system reserved partition if you want one. Restore the Windows partition you backed up earlier to a new partition on the now MBR drive. Set the partition you want to use as the system partition as active. Restore boot files to the system partition using the bcdboot command. Reset any settings needed in BIOS (usually disabling Safe Boot and enabling CSM) to boot from an MBR disk. Hold your breath and restart the computer. Re-enable the recovery environment once Windows is running again.

For what I understood, you did a reset using a USB drive you created on a recently bought laptop running windows 10 Pro with UEFI.
Are you saying that the reset converted the drive from Legacy - MBR to UEFI - GPT?
    Or
Are you saying it did a factory recover using the Laptop Windows?

Please post a whole window Disk Manager image of ALL your drives. Don't forget to expand the columns so we can read them. How to Post a Screenshot of Disk Management
If you have a MiniTool or AOMEI Partition use it instead or Windows disk manager.

A Legacy - MBR or UEFI - GPT Win 10 install should work the same as only the boot sequence is different.
