Hello - I have just tried to update the Bios on my ASUS Motherboard and I'm in the situation of not being able to exit Bios. It tells me there are no changes, etc.

When it tells you: "there are no changes"... did you click OK?

As it is a quite new computer I'm supposing windows was installed as UEFI-GPT but it can bee that it was installed as Legacy-MBR so BIOS settings must be set accordingly to the installation.

Boot from a Win 10 installation drive and at the Windows Setup screen, press Shift+F10 simultaneously to open a command line prompt. Type::
    diskpart
list disk (take a photo and post it here as an attachment)
    exit (to exit diskpart)

The previous version of the bios included support for windows 11 without the user needing to make any changes to the bios. This means that the bios that you have installed which integrates the changes of the previous bios, and all the others, has changed bios parameters. There must be a change for tpm, secure boot and uefi (gpt). It is also possible that the options for mbr disks have been removed from the bios. In this case if your installation is mbr you will need to install the old bios, convert your installation to gpt, and reinstall the latest bios.

    PRIME Z390-P BIOS 3004
    Version 3004
    7.94 MB
    2021/08/09
Support Windows 11 by default, no settings changes required in the UEFI BIOS.

Sorry - not sure about this. I can only get on the UEFI BIOS screen.
I tried to Boot from the USB stick (with Windows Media Creation tool).

Thanks for that. Just to be clear:
    Previous version was:
    PRIME Z390-P BIOS 2808
    Version 2808
    7.8 MB
    2020/07/29
    Improve system stability
Current version is 3006 - this doesn't work.

I've just found the 2808 (worked) bios on Asus downloads and tempted to re-install it.....

It isn't the BIOS that doesn't work.
It is the BIOS that isn't configured correctly.
If you can't boot from a Win 10 installation drive I suggest you call someone that has some experience to help you.

Well - thank you everyone. I got it to work! Big thanks.

The PC suppliers basically said I needed new this and that. They did that before. Not to worry.

I spoke to Asus and they confirmed to load Windows again and I re-read the how to and it was all OK.
I also had to reset my partitions - after watching another video it worked.

    The only slight hiccup
    1) American keyboard set up. Will change in settings.

    Apart from that all OK,
    Thanks!
