Win 10 Version 10.0.19044 Build 19044 does NOT want to upgrade& BSODs

    2 different BSOD:
    Unexpected Kernel Mode trap
    WHEA UNCORRECTABLE ERROR

Have tried sfc /scannow and DISM repairs
did the .iso swap for /RestoreHealth

sfc does not repair all errors.

    sfc Errors:
    Windows\Start Menu\ is owned twice or has its security set twice Original owner: Microsoft-Windows-shell32, version 10.0.19041.3031, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35} New owner: Microsoft-Windows-shell32, version 10.0.19041.3031, arch amd64, nonSxS, pkt {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}

    (these two 4005 errors repeat)

    removed AntiVirus
    scanned for malware

Did the upgrade failure .bat but not letting me upload.
Will update as I gather more info.

Hi, before you refer this to the specialised BSOD section, please cover basics:

    a. Complete your PC specs- including disks
Tutorials available to help if needed.
Click 'My Computers' below my post for example.

Advise approx age of PC and disks.

    b. Check all your disks.
E.g. Crystal Diskinfo (free) or better, Hard Disk Sentinel (covers SSDs too).
Simply launch these and look at the GUI- for each disk in your PC.

    c. If that's ok, then from an admin command prompt run
    chkdsk c: /scan
    - result on screen- scroll to bottom.

    Check this passes.

    Advise whether these pass.

    c. History (so often omitted by posters).
When did this PC last not have problems?
    What happened since then?
Do you have a complete 3rd party disk image of at least all O/S partitions before this started?
If not.. you should - endlessly recommended here - if you had you could have simply restored that and recovered data from more recent backups if the image was reasonably recent.

    Thanks.

Try an in place upgrade (Repair Install). As always suggested, make a drive image backup before you begin.
    Download the iso with MCT
Mount the iso and run setup.exe
