it seems very difficult to find detailed specs for that particular model. But you are correct, a 10th gen Intel CPU is well above the minimum specs for Windows 11.

The one spec I cannot find/confirm for looking is whether it has a switch in the bios to enable Intel Platform Trust Technology (PTT). That is a firmware implementation of TPM 2.0 which meets W11 requirements. It almost certainly does, I've yet to find any machine with 8th gen or higher that doesn't.

One spec I did find was that it was supplied with Windows 10 Home, meaning that it will have a key for 10 Home embedded in the bios. Windows key are the same for both 10 and 11, so a clean install of 11 will activate from this key.

[I only read the first post. Sorry if this has already been mentioned.]

    will this pc take win11-image.png

And Windows would install default drivers for the hardware for that computer.

does anyone know if this pc is win11 upgradeable? HP 17.3 Model: 17-BY2053CL -- Intel i5-10th Gen Processor i have a lead for one and before i get it i need to make sure i can put win11 on it and have it be upgradeable for all the security updates. thanks

can't say the win10 version as it has no hard drive. i have a hard drive i can put in it but i do not recall the version but is may be close to this pc i'm using for this question 22h2 19045.3570
I would say that a 10th Gen Processor will be able to use win 11 without workarounds.
I suggest you build the USB Win 11 22h2 installation drive using MCT

As it has no drive, buy and install a M.2 NVMe SSD and do a UEFI-GPT clean install on it. If you do a clean install it will install the version it is engraved on BIOS and it will activate.

thanks.. have any of you guys heard of the laptop called the ALLDOCUBE 15 GTBOOK15? i have one of those new in the box but because i do not really care for win11 yet i'm leaving that one in the box until i have to use it. but does anyone happen to know if that is a good pc? i set one up the same unit for a neighbor, he got 3 of them and gave me this one because i setup his stairlift and did lots of car repairs so he tossed this alldocube pc in my lap. i did set his up for him and it appears to be fast and run good but because i have not used it more than turning it on to make sure it did work and then putting it back in teh box so i do not know how well this one is.

denis what about this pc? HEWLETT PACKARD 15-EF1044NR AMD 3150U with Radeon graphics 2.40ghz. it is on that page someone posted for the approved pcs AMD Athlon™ Gold 3150U so would this make a good win11 pc and get the updates and security updates and be a fast pc? it is listed for 125$ so if some say this is a good pc then i will just get this one it has 30 day return and i would pay for that if it turns out to not work. but having a approved pc for win11 and soon win12 that will get the updates and the security updates is the important thing.

being that pc i started this thread about seems to be a bit iffy, i do not see it in that list of approved pcs that someone posted a link to. thanks
