    OK, I will do.

If it does NOT continue and complete, maybe a fresh start in the morning might be a good idea !
Do you mean starting with the usb all over again?

BTW, I added a bit to previous post which may have crossed when you posted your reply. Maybe worth just checking my last reply. Thanks Julie

    Hello Julie,

For added information, I always disconnect from the Internet when I perform a Clean Install on client machines.

That's interesting. So, you would have disconnected wifi at the same time as removing the usb with Media Creation on? Is that what you mean? J

I disconnect the Internet BEFORE I Boot the installation media.

I have just looked through the link I posted and found this section . . .

I must admit that I usually use an ISO to install Windows and I do NOT use the MCT.

Maybe somebody else can advise you on that aspect.

I am sorry that I can NOT be of more help on that part !

That's interesting 'cos I could have done that. I just assumed it would be easier using the Media Creation method. Maybe I may have to do it that way tomorrow ...

I've just managed to connect, on online chat, with a person from Microsoft support :) I'm happy to keep posting re what happens or just post once it's all finished. What would you prefer? :) Whatever you say, I really appreciate your help here tonight :)

I use a USB MCT and always start the installation without any internet connection. That way I can create a local account, wait for the installation to complete then connect to the internet so Windows Update can update the install, including any missing drivers.

    (I use Windows 10 Pro 22H2.)

    Hope this helps...
