    Hello @Energise,

While you are there, DELETE Drive 0: Partition 1. This should leave a SINGLE Unallocated Partition. Click Next. Do NOT forget to REMOVE the USB at the stage stated above.

    I hope this helps.
    Thanks again.
Yes, following your instructions it's progressing again.
It seemed to be re-starting so I quickly whipped out the usb stick. It now says 'Getting Ready' so does that sound as if it's progressing as it should?

    Sounds good to me.

I will hang around a little while for you to see what happens.

That's very good of you. I certainly appreciate it. It's almost midnight here, in UK, so I'd like to finish this before I go upstairs, as you can imagine. It's restarted a couple of times now and currently says 'Just a moment ...'

Oh bless you. It's late for you too

Screen is now with cortana speaking, "still setting things up" so I think I should be OK now. Seems I just have to answer various questions, eh?

Thanks. The laptop has just frozen so stuck again!!! I've got to the screen and declined extra cloud storage Re-Installing Windows 10 Home - I'm stuck with a question!-cloud-storage.jpg
This is where it's frozen. Touchpad won't move the cursor, nor does tab key move the focus, nor does 'Enter' seem to do anything. I want to 'Continue'

Give it a little while, some stages do appear as if they are frozen.

OK, I might have to leave it overnight LOL I won't be going up to bed for a while yet. Please don't stay up on my account. Just let me know when you're shutting down for the night, eh? :)

[Edit] Just realised I put in a different PIN for the laptop than I did use previously. As I don't use PIN on desktop, surely that wouldn't cause a problem, would it? Thanks

    OK, I will do.

If it does NOT continue and complete, maybe a fresh start in the morning might be a good idea !

I do NOT use a PIN so I can't help on that. Maybe looking through the link I posted will advise you what to do.
