    Install Windows over Ubuntu


    I installed Ubuntu on an old laptop, had some issues with it so decided to reinstall Windows 10 using the media creation tool. Got to a window "Where do you want to install Windows?" there are 3 options, all drive 0, 3 Partitions, all say Windows can't be installed on this partition.

    Partition 2 originally had the same message as 3, but I was able to format it then got the message shown, was unable to format Partition 3.

    Partition 2 says 496 MB free space, while 3 says 0 MB free.

    Am I out of luck?

    See if you can highlight each partition > manually delete all partitions > create an unallocated disk drive > clean install

    You need to delete ALL paritions and let windows create new ones dont try creating them
