ASRock mobo specs Win11 as go, but it's not?

This has been solved, thanks for all the help, people.

I have an ASRock Z390 Extreme 4 motherboard that their website claims is Windows 11 ready, but I get the alert saying the pc doesn't match the requirements.

Is there something i'm missing? Something critical on the motherboard that is not on by default?

    Specs are:
    Windows 10 Pro
    ASRock Z390 Extreme 4 motherboard
    i5 8400 6-core
    16gb of memory
    Gforce 1080GTX

Website claims support for Windows 11

Where do you get the alert saying the pc doesn't match the requirements? It doesn't say what requirement is missing?
    Is TPM enabled?
Is the current installation as UEFI - GPT?

I downloaded Windows 11 from Microsoft onto a USB stick and I get the alert when I attempt an installation.

I'll have to look to see if TPM is enabled.

I don't know how to tell if the installation is UEFI - GPT.

To see if your Windows drive is GPT, open a CMD window as administrator and type:

    diskpart
list disk (see if on the last column * (GPT) it has an *)
    Exit (to exit diskpart)

You can also use Disk Manager (C:\Windows\System32\diskmgmt.msc)
On Disk Manager - View - Top - Disk List

    It's a 1tb M2 drive, I let the windows 10 install select the format.

The command prompt DiskPart shows an asterisk next to the drive for GPT.

I just ran the Windows PC Health check, and the results show that the issue is the TPM not being detected.
So i'll try and reboot and see if I can't turn it on and then run the check again.
If it shows it's all good i'll go ahead with the install, and check back here later.

Win 11 works similar to Win 10 but looks different. You will have to learn how to use it. Some people simply don't like it.
I strongly recommend you create a disk image backup just in case things don't go the way it should or you don't like it.

I recommend you do an In place upgrade, that is, run Win 11 setup.exe under Win 10.

I have it running on a recent media pc I built. I used Open Shell and a couple of other tweaks to get it the way I like it.

This one, I just looked through bios and I don't even see available CPU settings for TMP anything. I wouldn't be surprised to find that ASRock expects me to do a bios update for this.

I'll check out that thread now, thanks!

FWIW I just tried the method from the Eleven forum, and I got the same window about my pc not meeting the requirements.

So I just added a help request at ASRock asking them why I can't install 11 on this motherboard.

Unfortunately that's a different bios look from mine, so I don't see any of that.

Also that's for an AMD cpu, mine is an Intel.

Your i5 8400 is a supported processor for Windows 11.

In the bios you should look in Security for Intel PTT and enable it.

Intel® Platform Trust Technology (Intel® PTT) - Intel® Platform Trust Technology (Intel® PTT) offers the capabilities of discrete TPM 2.0. Intel PTT is a platform functionality for credential storage and key management used by Windows 8* , Windows® 10 and Windows* 11.
