    win 10 is for win 7 or win 8.1


    when i try to install win 10 i get win 10 is for win 7 or win 8.1 my laptop came install with win 8.1,rtied 3 times to install,same message.thanks for any help,maty

    First, run winver either from the search box or "run" on start menu. What version of Windows does winver say you have?

    What method are you trying to upgrade to Windows 10 with? I would suggest trying the "Upgrade this PC now" option of Windows 10 Media Creation Tool:

    I totally agree with what is said above. "Upgrade this PC now" I did it, and it worked and my system Acer i5 5600U is really not having any problems so far. I still have it doing many nice things for me ... and I am enjoyed all so far, put I am about ready to upgrade two more win8.1 desktops here. Best to all who use it... Cliff M.
