Bootable media question

I watched a video about restoring pc after windows repair could not fix. It said to put in bootable usb and there is a selection called "repair pc" or words to that effect. Is that true? Thanks.

I do have a Macrium backup and would like to restore but when I go to f12, the macrium boot usb does not appear. If I can't get to that I can't restore. Am at an impasse it would appear. Any suggestions?

You can't do a repair install if you can't boot into your installed Windows.

I have tried 3 times to upload what I see at f12 - just won't post. Anyway at f12 I see boot mode is set to uefi - secure boot is on - windows boot manager - then the regular lines that follow that --other options -- bios setup -- and so on.

I have never had a problem getting to the Macrium boot usb but for some reason - just can't get there with this recent crash. Could I get an opinion - a no fault opinion.

This Dell is going on 4 years old. I really like it but maybe it's time has come. I hesitate to give it up as it passes all the Dell diagnostics without a problem. I know 10 is going away at the end of '25 and then I will have to get 11. But that's still a little ways off.

If I can get to the usb iso, maybe I should just start over - whaddya think?

Regarding can I get to any other bootable drive - yes I just got to the ISO usb. So I can do a clean install of windows wnd then hopefully do a restore from my Macrium. I did this just a little while ago. Then something happened - kept getting bsod.s -- memory management, and unexpected store exception. I was going to fix those when the crash and no boot occured.
