You might try this. I don't know if it will help with LTSC Windows.

For what I understood, you have an auto login and then it auto load TV Signage player.
Try to disable auto login (remove the password) and auto load TV Signage player. If you also have an antivirus, disable it.
If you want to move to LTSC, it has to be a clean install. There is no upgrade path to get to LTSC. However, a better solution for your digital sign computers would be Enterprise IOT Windows (internet of things). It is actually the most stripped down edition of Windows. LTSC is not really stripped down, it is just locked at a specific build number, when you can do with any Windows 10 by setting the proper registry keys anyway.
Thanks I will try all the above and I am waiting to hear back from Microsoft. So for as the IOT and LTSC OS the place that I work at is able to provide the OS and its versions based on the agreement it has with Microsoft, and I am not sure they have one for IoT, but I will look at this.
Never heard back from Microsoft, but I started the same install process on another machine yesterday just like the one I did before, run setup from a USB, keep all files and settings just to see if it would work, come in this morning and its been upgraded to 21H2. Maybe the other machine had issues with it? I don't know but the one that I could not get upgraded without deleting all files and apps is an exact copy of the one that did work hardware and software wise. I will try another machine out today and report back of its status. I hope the rest are this easy, only have about 110 to go...
After you clone you have to change it's ID or the 110 computers will have the same ID and you won't be able to identify them on a network.
