Time to display a list of operating systems

I don't have time atm because i have to do IRL stuff but read through these it tells you what to do.

the link for msconfig is also telling you what i mentioned earlier in that it is only meant of testing/debugging purpose. The following generalization on the page states this.

The System Configuration utility finds and isolates issues. However, it is not a startup management program.

BCDedit uses config stores and is the proper way to set the configurations so if you are still having issues you will have to find what is causing the problem, probably by clearing the stores or setting the right one or some command or maybe even editing the registry for bad or duplicate keys,

you know there is something that is resetting it but you just have to find out why.

Three other internal drives to be exact.

Are the other drives (D: & M: ) self booting or they only have Windows partition images as backup?
If the other drives (D: & M: ) are backups and are disconnected, you should select C: as the default and delete the other entries.

To better understand your system, could you please post a Disk manager image of drive C::, D: and M: connected?
Don't forget to expand the columns so we can read them. How to Post a Screenshot of Disk Management
If you have a MiniTool or AOMEI Partition use it instead or Windows disk manager.

But what happens when I reconnect?

Disk 1 (containing the active/self booting D;\ OS partition), and Disk 3 (containing the active/self booting M;\ OS partition) are identical/mirror backups of Disk 0

All 3 drives are UEFI - GPT, each one with it's own boor manager on their EFI partition.

I suggest you disconnect (SATA or power cable) from drive 1 & 3, boot from drive 0, open MSConfig and set drive 0 as default and then delete the others drives from the boot options.
