Changing HDD for SSD in laptop - effect on activation

    Regarding the OP question. I have a HP 15-f100dx and I cloned my SATA hard drive, running Windows 10 Pro to a Western Digital SSD (SATA) and when swapped had no issues regarding activation. It's like nothing was changed, but the files read a whole lot faster.

    That's right. People upgrade their drives all the time with no problems about activation. It's when when people replace the motherboard or move the drive to another computer that there should be a problem with activation.

    few days ago i replaced my HDD with a SSD in one of my (old) laptops. Users sometimes experiencing issues with cloning tools.
    To prevent problems i performed an (another) clean installation of Win10 Pro on the new SSD.

    Windows has been activated automatically after (re-)installation with a digital licence after going online (again).

    I performed the first clean installation on HDD using tutorials from this forum and this how to:
