I suspected my C drive was dying so decided to go for a M.2 NVMe type. I installed the new M.2 drive & began clean install with USB installer but forgot to remove the old C drive. Now Windows has dual boot with all boot info on old C drive.
Can I remove old C drive, then install bootloader using the install USB installer as a repair or just start over?
Whilst I agree with Ghot I am not convinced that you necessarily have to reinstall again. Somebody might well post who knows how to use BCD commands to fix your installation without re-installation.
BUT
Your description shows that you have not done a "clean install". It's not clear to me exactly what you have done

doing a Clean install would mean you would get you into a known condition as well as overcoming the current problem.

If you haven't done so already... Get some backup software also.
As soon as you have the install done and the drivers installed... make a backup.
Then do any Windows Updates, and make another backup.
Then install your programs and do your tweaks... then make another backup.
Try to install as much as you can on a storage drive, instead of on the C: drive.
This will keep the "used space" on the C: drive low, which will make backups and restores, really fast.
I have about 30GB on my C: drive.
My backups take 2:20 and my restores take 1:30
You can do a lot of really neat things with backup software, if you get the backups and restores to happen quickly.
Wanna test some iffy software? Want to try some risky tweaks? No problem if you have a fresh backup.
If you break anything... just restore from a backup. AND, with the backup software's bootable rescue media,
you can access your backups and do a restore... even if Windows won't boot.
