No option to log in with MS account during clean install.

A few days ago i decided to do a clean install. I did a clean install of Windows 11 for the fun of it, but decided to go back to windows 10. I used the Media creation tool to get the latest Windows 10 (22H2), created the USB-media and started the install. Everything went smoothly, except for one thing: normally i would get prompted to sign in with my Microsoft account during install, but this time i only had the option to write my name (and set the answers to three security questions), i.e. i only had the option to create a local account.

I've installed Windows 10 a lot of times but i have never seen this behaviour.

    I have tested
    - different USB-drives
    - created media on a different PC's (one with Win11 and one with Win10)
    - installed with a key and without a key
and all behave in the same way: No MS-account login option.

LAN cable is plugged in during install, internet working.

The Win 11 installation prompted me to use MS account during setup so i know that hardware is ok.

I did switch to MS account once setup had completed and everything seems to work as it should.
I am just curious to what may be causing this?

Did you clean install with internet disconnected?

    See tutorial:
    Clean Install Windows 10

4 If you are installing the Window 10 Home edition of version 20H2 and want to use a local account instead of a Microsoft account, then you will need to temporarily disconnect your computer from the Internet until installation has finished.

If you do not disconnect from the Internet before starting Windows Setup, you will only have the option to set up Windows 10 with a Microsoft account available.

Internet was on and working all the time. LAN cable was connected all the time.
Once the setup was finished, i had internet access.

Perhaps LAN driver wasn't properly installed during setup, but i never had this issue before. As i wrote, i did a Win 11 install on the same hardware earlier that day and set it up with MS account.

Most people complain about just the opposite, that Windows forces them to sign in with a Microsoft Account. I would consider yourself lucky. Create a local account first and then convert it to a MS account.

Yeah, i know. It isn't really a problem. I was just curious why this happened as i've never seen it before.
My guess is that the LAN drivers weren't installed before the "create account" part came up during setup.
Makes me wonder if this is the only "problem" with this build. Shutdown time seems to be a little longer than usual...
