No option to log in with MS account during clean install.
A few days ago i decided to do a clean install. I did a clean install of Windows 11 for the fun of it, but decided to go back to windows 10. I used the Media creation tool to get the latest Windows 10 (22H2), created the USB-media and started the install. Everything went smoothly, except for one thing: normally i would get prompted to sign in with my Microsoft account during install, but this time i only had the option to write my name (and set the answers to three security questions), i.e. i only had the option to create a local account.
I've installed Windows 10 a lot of times but i have never seen this behaviour.
I have tested
- different USB-drives
- created media on a different PC's (one with Win11 and one with Win10)
- installed with a key and without a key
and all behave in the same way: No MS-account login option.
LAN cable is plugged in during install, internet working.
The Win 11 installation prompted me to use MS account during setup so i know that hardware is ok.
I did switch to MS account once setup had completed and everything seems to work as it should.
I am just curious to what may be causing this?
