    Install WinCDEmu on Windows 7:
WinCDEmu - the easiest way to mount an ISO. And more...

Mount the ISO file with it. Run setup.exe from the mounted ISO file. That will upgrade Windows 7 to Windows 10 without having to mess with DVD (you need a dual layer disk) or USB flash drive.

Great idea I forgot about this. I was wondering why my other win 10 computer did this. I've done this on my win 7 laptop and Win 10 is now installing - thank you!

When I upgraded to Win 10 I did it from my Win 8.1 computer. I did find the email with my Win 8.1 with my product key. I hope that works

Windows 8, 10, and 11 have native support for mounting ISOs. Windows 7 does not and requires a third party app. Good luck with the upgrades!

Once you upgrade from an activated Windows 7, as soon as the computers goes online, a digital license for Windows 10/11 will be created on Microsoft's servers for that edition of Windows 10/11 on that computer and you will no longer need any product key.

Upgrade to Win 10 from win 7 worked perfectly and easily. Once I was able to run the ISO file, there were no more problems, no Product code or digital key to add. Very easy - thanks to all for the excellent advice and help

From what I read, I need to first upgrade Win 7 to Win 10 and then I can do a clean install.
    No. You didn't have to.

Did you not read my post? Certainly no acknowledgement of it, anyway you got there somehow.

In particular, as you wish to clean install WITHOUT upgrading first.

All you need is in the Tutorial section.
