thanks but no luck
i created a new install usb
i downloaded the driver from the hp site, textracted the exe and tried it no luck
so then i extracted any folders within the file that i downloaded just in case and still the same issue
ill give it another go maybe tomorrow
What is the exact reference of the hp computer? So that I can look for where the sata option is if it is there.
Hp envy x360
I don't see those options in the storage tab
When I extracted the exe (I chose the 1st driver) I didn't get those files
Can you send me a link to the file you think I should use
Thank you I'll have a look tomorrow and c let you know
There are many Hp envy x360. Some of them has Intel some of them has MD
All them has a PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD. That is why you don't find any SATA drives. There are none.
Have seen some PCIe® NVMe™ M.2 SSD on HP computers that need a specific driver. As your computer is a Intel i7 you probably need the IRST driver. IRST f6flpy-x64.zip
Extract the files to a folder on the USB drive.
Boot ftom the Win 10 installation drive and when asked browse to the folder with the drive
HP Envy x360 no drives found during Win10 installation
@bartjunited, please give us the complete model of your Hp envy x360. Look under the case.
