update for microsoft / update for windows

update for microsoft / update for windows-untitled.png

same KB number# , but with a little diferent name , 1 is in the correct size (definition update)

but the other is under (other updates)

is fresh install PC few hours ago , i try to unistall the one (other updates) , but dont appear in the list of unistall updates

my installation is corrupted ? or is normal this kind of two update are separates ? both should be in (definition update) correct ?

i think the (other update 4.18.2001.10) is no necesary beacuse the version number is low compare with 4.18.2205.7 , but againone is called update for microsoft defender antivirus......... and the other update for windows defender antivirus.........

any idea ? is that normal ?

I don't see anything untoward there... no failures.

Unfortunately you ignored the forum prompt:
update for microsoft / update for windows-win-10-version.png

    Mine is 19044.1889

You can check the News section where you can see these numbers and an article per update per build with download links.

sorry for the missing version there ya go Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1889)

but is not about the version what is consern me , is the fact 1 update is in (other update) and should be in definition update right ? or both are not exacly the same regardless about same KB# ?

i know both are installed and not failures , but i'm scared having two of same KB# one more new than other in the version numbers can cause conflict in the anti virus

Certain updates are 'updated' and the numbers repeated.

In the cases you highlighted it shows the definition number is different.

    I too have repeats:
update for microsoft / update for windows-1.jpg

    I'm not worried.

If your build is up to date and all is well, don't worry.

The ones you highlighted in black, as I commented, have different version numbers.

    I think you can relax.

Please also ensure you have appropriate backups: you will feel more confident if you routinely use disk imaging e.g. Macrium Reflect and a scheduled System Restore point (tutorial available).

These help you recover from bad situations and the first gives you a full backup.
