Ok I did it right this time. Formatted C: to wipe Windows 7 and then booted to W 8.1, mounted the W10 ISO, selected setup in sources folder and selected the C: partition and away it went. By having the partition already formatted and drive letter assigned W10 used that drive letter. Since my Norton is not compatible I am using Windows Defender, Malwarebytes 2.0.3.1025, Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit 1.04.1.1012 and WinPatrol and all are working great.

I tried the upgrade route but it failed during install (twice) so I went with the ISO.

I don't like the new Start Menu especially All Apps so I went with the Start Screen.
