Cannot Update Win 10 - Is My Nvidia Card at Fault?
I've been reading ad nauseam about the issues associated with updating Win 10 from 1909. I don't want to list everything I've done to this point, but just want to ask this Q because it is the only thing I've really found as a potential issue.
Microsoft Setup Diag is showing this:
Error: Found a device installation failure during device install phase.
Device Installation failure detected!
Device Description: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2488
HardwareId: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2488&SUBSYS_88251043&REV_A1\4&2283f625&0&0019
Inf Name: nv_dispi.inf
Driver Version: 30.0.15.1295
Recommend you update the driver package or remove the device and drivers, and try again.
Most recent Nvidia drivers did not resolve the issue.
I uninstalled everything related to my RTX 3070 (as least I believe I did), and kept it off the internet (because as soon as I enable ethernet, Windows will update the driver from basic, even though updates have been turned off).
I re-ran updates with Windows Assistant with the basic vid driver, but no joy.
Am I going down a rabbit hole as to the nv_dispi.inf being the fault?
