"I just hate elitists who call themselves "Guru" but think they're too good for everyone else."
And I just love that statement. If we thought we were too good to help people, we wouldn`t be here doing it now would we.
I`ve been working on PC`s for over 25 years and never considered myself a Guru, those Badges aren`t given to us, we earn them and it takes a long time to earn them.
Glad to have you with us, and we`ll see you at ElevenForum
I really did lol @ that contradictory statement. I'm quite sure all the badges here are rightfully earned. I'm guessing our friend was just a kid. Ugh! Win 11. I put it on my laptop and it behooves me to say that IMO it leaves a great deal to be desired. The upgrade was easy but I can't say I'm crazy about it. To be fair, I declined from the Windows Insider on this one. Too many pokers in the fire and too many PCs to fix. I gotta say, I sympathize with Jody on this.

My comments regarding being a Guru were completely 100% in reference to:
Which is also what prompted my reply that I hope @GloriousPurpose continues to find his assistance elsewhere other than this forum.
yeah, not sure what that was about and not sure I want to know Not sure if I would want to have to explain myself for every single step I took in order to solve a PC issue. I'll be honest. Half the time for me it's hit and miss. Try something, if it fails x # variables eliminated, move on.. try something etc. Sometimes a guy can nail the issue in the first go. Other times troubleshooting can take a while. Not sure why all this turned into some sort of emotional drama but perhaps the issue really wasn't the "issue". There are more qualified people in the world than me to diagnose those sorts of things. Fixing PCs is more rewarding and a whole lot safer IMO.
i dont understand a word of the issue at hand here or the proposed fixes but when i had problems as recent as my first clean install, creating ISO to BOOT from and successfully doing so, removing partitions and many other issues i certainly wouldnt have been able to do so with out the help from a lot of members here, kudos to you all.
as @SCANNERMAN said you can lead a horse to water.....
