Install windows 10 without windows.old

If you boot from the USB win 10 installation drive and point to install on a partition that already has Win 10, it will create a Windows.old folder.
If you follow the instructions Clean Install Windows 10 and delete all partitions on the drive and then procedure there will be no windows on the drive to crate the Windows.old folder.

You don't have to delete all partitions. Just delete the EFI, Reserved, Windows, and Recovery partitions. The data partition(s), if any, can be left untouched.

I only have efi and windows,I already deleted recovery because i messed it up,is,nt there files that need to be in windows for it to re install?

A Windows installation ISO file includes everything necessary for clean installing Windows.
No files on your existing partitions are necessary.

If you delete Windows partition it will delete your data.
Don't you have an external drive to save your data so you can do a clean install?

If there is a separate data partition, just copy the personal files, if any, from the Windows partition onto the data partition. Preferably, back them up onto a separate device. If the OP does not have it, buy one.

I have just reinstalled windows 10 from the flash drive,I deleted the windows that was on when i started the flash drive,I now have a windows with no old windows but what i cant understand is there are still some folders that i had on the previous windows desktop and a couple of word docs are still there,if it is meant to delete all files why are they still there?
