Dual boot with two drives that already have an OS on them.

    sorry been crazy busy,
    originally windows 10 pro was on internal WD HDD on this pc,
    then removed it to external drive and put a blank seagate in here,
    then installed windows 7 , now want to be able to boot from either,
    so both have own there own system partitions .

    also sorry just not great at this, where do i do this code
    bcdboot X:\Windows /d /addlast
    c;\windows or users , or ?

    You open an admin command prompt which opens at c:\windows\system32.

    Obviously you have to substitute X for appropriate letter on other drive for Windows directory.

    tried it it booted back into windows 7,
    So used bcdeasy, then clicked windows 10 and it gives me an error code.
    0xc000000e

    now i cant boot into either one
    windows 7 freezes at starting windows with the 4 color flag

    sorry my windows 10 is in an external hdd enclosure, not a usb,

    I don't think you can boot a Windows 10 that has been cloned or moved from an internal drive to an external drive. I think you have to start with it installed on an external drive.
