I can do the Taskbar alignment at will, not reboot needed.
We're talking about Taskbar going up and down on left edge - not left alignment of bottom taskbar .

How to set a vertical taskbar in Windows 11 third party band-aids do not count for me.

    Tell mck how.
He wants his taskbar on the left side of the screen vertically.
But I suppose it doesn`t matter, mck does not want W11

So if you do not want to upgrade to Windows 11, get acquainted with the Linux World. Take a look at Linux Mint, it is among the top Linux Distributions

Loll !!! sudo this, sudo that.... Asks for Admin password every 2 commands.... Always have to elevate process or Bash your way out of it. Exactly what I need for day to day work.

I like Zorin, but I only use it Live once in a while.

With that statement, I think mck wants the entire taskbar on the left side of the screen.
Correct except I like the entire taskbar on the right side of the screen. I don't want any of the "Windows" user interface taking up vertical space.

You`ll just have to keep digging through Settings to see if it`s possible

Yes, the entire taskbar on the right side of the screen vertically.

It's not that I don't want Win11. It's just that I want the option of moving the entire taskbar to the right side.

    Thanks.

Ya I`m actually updating my W7 SSD that hasn`t been plugged in, in over 2 years. I updated everything and it`s mega fast.

Gonna make an image and unplug it, after I play with it for awhile, W7 is the best

I`ll look at W11 in a while, if I find something I`ll let you know.
