Once a digital licence for a PC is recorded on the activation servers it's permanent. Once you have your W10 Home on it, then it should activate automatically.

AFAIK.. downgrades are activated even without a digital licence for the downgraded edition.
Edit: Oops I see there was no Pro digital licence to downgrade... so it obviously needed a Home digital licence.
It was Win7 Pro on another machine that I upgraded ON that machine to Win10 Pro, then cloned it to the second laptop, downgraded to Win10 Home and it auto-activated with the embedded Win8 key on that second replacement laptop then :)

I updated to Windows 10 last week from what I thought was an activated version of windows 8.1, but now I'm stuck with an "Activate Windows" watermark in the bottom right of my screen (which goes over everything, not just the...
I upgraded to win 10 from 8.1 all ok
has issues with flash player so I decided to do a fresh install
my problem is that win 10 is not activated I put in my code it dosent work

I woke up this morning to WTP telling me to activate. I entered the serial without any luck. Has this happened to anyone else, and how did you fix it. Fortunately I had backed up C drive with Macrium. :huh:
