Unable to rebuild Lenovo desktop 90G9

I am trying to do a clean install for someone on their Lenovo desktop as its running like a dog.

I have downloaded and created the latest USB media creation tool.

Booted up from the USB and started the process.

What I am finding is that it it goes through the 1st part of "Loading Files", at this part it then reboots and I expect at this point to commence the installation process. However it just goes back to the "Choose what window 32 bit or 64 bit set up" and then proceeds to load the files again.

If I then restart and remove the USB it fails to continue with the installation. Ive tried this with the HDD that's in the PC, and another SSD drive with both 64 bit and 32 bit set ups?

Any ideas as this is driving me nuts and Ive spent way too much time on this already

    Thanks Bart

    Hi Bart !!!

Use your boot media to retrieve (Shift+F10) the content of c:\windows\Panther\

Review content of setupact.log and setuperr.log

Sorry buddy but I'm totally confused by what you want me to check.
do we think there is an issue with the boot media or is it something to do with the bios on the machine?

when it reboots after loading the install files

from memory at this point the machine should reboot

    you remove the media

then it starts the install process

if I DONT remove the media it tries to install the files again

if I remove the media it errors and then eventually just starts up the initial windows 10 install (this is on the drive that is currently in the machine that I am trying to wipe and rebuild)

If not it could be your boot media or the memory make sure your USB ding is good

if USB is good, re-seat memory modules and start testing the RAM with something like memtest86.

Yes doesnt get to that point
    I'll check both those things.
Using a verbatim mini USB? That should be ok right?
    Probably have to try later

Yes the verbatim should be good try it on another computer to test it.

I prefer to download the iso files and use Rufus to create the bootable media. Instead of using MCT.

Don't select the USB drive as your first boot option. Launch the boot menu (F12?) and select the USB drive (see below)

Windows can be installed in two ways: Legacy-MBR or UEFI-GPT
To install as Legacy-MBR you must boot the installation drive as Legacy
To install as UEFI-GPT you must boot the installation drive as UEFI.

As you have a new MB, you should install as UEFI-GPT
Detach any other drives (SATA or Power cable) from the MB.

During POST, press F12(?) to launch the boot menu. You will see two options for the USB drive. USB UEFI (Name) and USB (Name). Select USB UEFI (Name).
Go to install and delete ALL partitions on the SSD till you have one and only one unallocated space and then proceed.
If you don't want to use MS account, don't enable updates or connect to the internet during installation.
