No reason to have all your problems.
Did you let MCT create the USB drive or did you use a iso file and Rufus?
Did you deleted ALL partitions on the drive till you have one and only one unallocated space?

    I used MCT
It didn't give me option to delete partitions.
It literally copies the files, reboots, I get the windows splash screen and then boots back to the Lenovo screen?.

    I've never seen this

The usb I used has been used before to install Windows. I even tried a different USB

Put the machine in MBR and try out. You still did not reply on the current bios version running ?

What do you mean by MBR
Sorry didn't realise about bios just thought you said to use default options in bios.

Yes But if it is impossible to install windows in UEFI on the machine try to bring back boot strap to Simple MBR Non UEFI Still maintain SATA / AHCI enabled. there's other boot options you may have but... we cant see them.

Those two things must corroborate.. The video you posted looks like the video driver is unable to load properly.
and it could be caused by... Windows trying the wrong video thing... to Video Card is not supported in UEFI.

So Falling back to MBR seems a way to maybe save the day... and get more info on the problem at the same time...

I'm not used to Lenovos Desktops but... I have all gen of LTs and never had something like this.

OK so how do I bring it back to Simple MBR?
Would you like me to post some pics of the bios settings tomorrow?

Am I right that when windows tries to install it copies the media files to memory, reboots and then uses those files to build the machine?

It is us that will need bios Screenshots....

Basically enabling CMS can be the only thing you need. but in some bios it could have some relation that prevent you to toggle the option. Until you disable UEFI and secureboot.

    Aren't they a B****

The most important thing is not to be afraid to get wet.

OK so in the bios I'm looking for options to use CMS and also to remove secure boot?
I'll get pics tomorrow for sure.

Thanks a lot for your help

The message seems to indicate that control has been successfully handed to windows boot manager which is then unable to load winload.efi.

That is usually because it cant find winload.
