    No date has been given.

MS have merely said that it would be rolled out during the first half of 2022.

You can upgrade manually yourself if you want to. There's plenty of advice in www.elevenforum.com

Microsoft should offer it to you sometime between tomorrow and October 2025.

Or instead of waiting for MS to decide when to offer it, you can manually upgrade yourself. Just go to:

Most end users can manually upgrade using a Windows 11 iso.
There is no need to wait.

The exceptions are for known Windows 11 problems.
For example: computers with Intel Smart Sound Technology Drivers

It's a phased rollout which Microsoft expect to be completed by mid-2022. Primarily it's the newest machines that should see it offered it first, but as zbook says, some specific hardware/driver issues may stop some machines being offered it until the issues have been resolved.

Rolling out the free upgrade to Windows 11 in a phased and measured approach
The free upgrade to Windows 11 starts on October 5 and will be phased and measured with a focus on quality. Following the tremendous learnings from Windows 10, we want to make sure we’re providing you with the best possible experience. That means new eligible devices will be offered the upgrade first. The upgrade will then roll out over time to in-market devices based on intelligence models that consider hardware eligibility, reliability metrics, age of device and other factors that impact the upgrade experience. We expect all eligible devices to be offered the free upgrade to Windows 11 by mid-2022.

I did a completely clean install on my XPS 8900, 6th gen i7 6700, the install went fine no warnings or nags installing or in windows update as I received the patch Tuesday update with no problems either. 11 runs great on my machine, better than 10. I originally upgraded to 11 in the beta channel of windows insiders and had a few goofy things happening but the clean install is a way better way to go at least for me. You can cautiously wait for the upgrade or push it on the Microsoft website. I'm really enjoying not seeing that your pc does not qualify for windows 11 nag in windows update anymore now that I am running windows 11. I also uninstalled the windows update health check app, maybe thats why I'm not getting nagged.

I'm not getting nagged because I turned off TPM on 2 desktops and a laptop that are otherwise qualified to have 11 inflicted on them. One of the desktops got attacked before I did that and I was forced to restore a Macrium backup of 10. So much for the empty claim that 11 won't install without specific permission.
