    It is Finished!

I don't mean that in the Biblical sense. But, in the Windows 10 Install sense.

Two days ago, (Monday, 12/06/21) I checked my favorite software download site, and found a Sept '21 version of Windows 10/Enterprise/64. It's one version that I don't have, so I downloaded the ISO and burned it to a new ONN 32 GB Flash Drive. The burn seemed to go well. But when I tried to install it to a spare HD, the "copying files" routine got up to about 50 % and logged an error, and stopped. Repeated tries resulted in the same error.
    Then my PC died! Arggg!
After some troubleshooting, I found that the CMOS battery was down below 3.0vdc.
A new CMOS battery solved the problem and I was soon back up and running.
(my motherboard seems to be very sensitive to cmos battery voltage)

I decided to just try the whole thing over again, using a new Flash Drive and a known good Seagate 2TB HD.

The download took only about 30 minutes, using the "Internet Download Manager".
The burn of the ISO to a tried and true SanDisk flash Drive, went off without a hitch, using "Rufus".

The boot up of my system, using the SanDisk flash drive worked perfectly too.
The install went as planned, even the conflict getting past the log-in without a MS account. With that little
problem conquered, the remainder of the install went off without a hitch.

Then I installed the "Classic Shell", Firefox, and a set of tweaks, to improve performance.
Installing a few more Programs, that I normally use, finished the Windows 10 Install.

I'm using that new install of Windows 10 right now, as I work this forum. It works GREAT!

With each new version of Windows 10 that I install, it looks less like the old Windows 10, with a desktop screen full of little boxes, that so many people hated, me included, and more like Windows 7, and runs so easy.

I find that at least with this version, if I absolutely HAD to run Win-10, I could, with very few problems.

I'm sort of amazed, that so many people have so many problems installing Windows 10. It's really so simple!
(unless, they get a bad download, or try to use a bad [onn] flash drive.)

    Cheers Mates, and Happy Holidays

There are a number of options available for computer professionals such as Action Pack and MSDN that allows people to activate multiple copies of programs such as Windows 10 Enterprise. These programs are subscription based and are not free. It appears th of the Product Keys from these programs have made it out in the wild with people distributing it online usually for a minimal price. However, these Product Keys are only supposed to be used by the person buying the subscription. Anyone else using them is illegal. The problem is they will appear to activate OK as long as Microsoft's activation servers don't catch on at some point and deactivate them.

I would love to see the results of
    slmgr /dlv

My bet it is activated with KMS. My bet also is that we will never find out.

Here's the thing, if you have a legitimate way of activating Windows 10 Enterprise, you don't need to look for a place to download it from. Windows 10 Pro will upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise just by changing the product key.

I didn't want to start a bru-ha-ha as to legal vs Illegal. It really makes NO difference to me at all. So all you Legal Beagles get down off of your high horse! Eh?

I only wanted to point out, that if a person would get their ducks in a row, the install of Windows 10, any version, can go smoothly, and be completed in a very little time. It's been called, "Make a plan, and then follow that plan, to completion".
I only install Win-10 as an exercise, and as part of my hobby, since I'm retired after 40+ years as a computer tech, and PC builder.
Next week, or next month I may delete the latest install and use that HD for something else.

I see so many guys struggling to install Win-10, and for the life of me, I don't see why all the hate and discontent!
To me, it's as easy as installing DOS 2.0, 41 years ago.

All things taken together, you found Windows 10 Enterprise on your favorite software download site, Windows 10 Enterprise is not a standard version that a standard user would be able to activate without taking special efforts to obtain a legitimate product key (or be part of a corporation using KMS activation), and that you won't tell us exactly how your Windows 10 Enterprise is activated - all evidence thus far points that you have an illegitimate, pirated copy of Windows 10 Enterprise - which installs no differently than any other edition of Windows 10. And, again, there is no need to find a Windows 10 Enterprise ISO - all you have to do is change a Windows 10 Pro installed product key to a Windows Enterprise product key - but, of course, you would have to have a legitimate Enterprise product key to keep it activated.

Now, if you would like to prove our suspicions wrong, which of course you are under no obligation to do, then you could share with us your activation method. And I have a feeling we are just going to have to remain reasonably suspicious.
