This can be very time consuming and repetitive.
You can try uninstalling Bitdefender completely and running its manual uninstaller and see if that helps, but you may prefer to await more detailed analysis.

I don’t know the make and model of my computer. It is an older one I had custom assembled at a local PC store about 8 years ago
It is a Desktop, with two older Western Digital 1 TB SATA HDD.
Graphic Card. Yes. AMD Radeon Graphic Processor ( 9x68E1) ASUS EAH 5450 series.

Unfortunately, as already stated, I really don’t know the make and model of my computer. If this is essential to identify the problem, it is too bad, I thought the other info would help..
Regarding the SetupDialogResults file I cannot submit, it is a 4 kb Notepad file. It should go in like the other attachments, but it doesn’t for some reasons.

To answer your question, what prompted me to do an in-place Windows upgrade on the 2nd HDD is because with the Windows 10 I have restored on it from the Macrium Drive image file I cannot open the all-important CMD screen app.
I thought that it could be because of a corrupted Windows file and may be an in-place upgrade would replace the corrupt file with a new working file from the Windows directory copied from the .ISO file.
Another possibility that comes to my mind, is that the Drive image of a Windows 10 on HDD 1 may not necessarily work if restored on another HDD, even though they are exactly the same...

I've got little time to help at this time.
These are some steps that you can perform:
a) Run the Bitdefender uninstall tool
b) Make sure that Microsoft Defender is on
c) Search for BIOS upgrades
d) Uninstall any of these non-Microsoft software:
1) antivirus
2) firewall
3) drive encryption
e) Place the computer in clean boot
g) detach any attached hardware
h) Perform an in place upgrade repair while in clean boot
i) For any failure run setupdiag > post a new share link into this thread

a few preliminary questions before implementing the above suggestions, especially the BIOS upgrade
1. BIOS UPGRADE. I read it can be very dangerous. The last thing I want is a damaged motherboard !
Besides, I went to the MSI site looking for a Bios upgrade download. . I couldn't find any reference to upgrading the BIOS for my MS-7680 motherboard. In addition, all the BIOS upgrades listed are dated to 2002. My BIOS is dated 04/11/ 2011.
If I understand correctly, I cannot upgrade. Their upgrade version is 10 years older than my BIOS version!
2. Even if I were to proceed with the Bios upgrade, I read that I need a formatted external flash drive. I do have two external USB flash drives, all of which with important data I don't want to lose, unless I can save the BIOS download on a SD memory card.
I'd like to have this clarified, especially the risks of updating the BIOS.

Now I see that there is a new Bios upgrade on the link you gave me. I also understand that I can use a SD memory card ( is this what is meant by pen drive ?) to save the Bios upgrade download. Is it executable from the flash drive or in Bios? I read that it can ( should?) be executed in BIOS, BOOT, advanced options. Is it so ?
It still remains the safety issue. Are there any risks in upgrading the BIOS?, as it is often said on the WEB? If so, what are they.?

Instructions are at the top of the page including YouTube video. I will leave it to you to read them and figure it out.
I would also suggest you download the current BIOS file in case you need it. If you don't follow the instructions carefully, things could go badly. I've never had a problem upgrading BIOS on my PCs.
Why are you doing a full in-place upgrade from 21H1 to 21H2. All you need to do is download the small enablement package as pc already has all the 21H2 components installed (assuming 21H1 is fully up to date). I did it recently and it took about 6 minutes.
Look on news section and find the upgrade to 21H2 post, and you can download the enablement package.
