The media is not really relevant, because most will suggest to download the windows install media creation tool and use the latest version available. So even if your buy the DVD you can still use any media you want to install it.
Yes, but where do I get 'the latest version '? I have to buy it from somewhere. I have the usb drive and the media creation tool, but at some point in the installation you have to enter a valid license key.

You can dowload the most recent version of the media from ms at no charge.

It can be installed without a key.

To activate it , you need a key.

There is no "latest version" of the key.

You can use a win7 or 8 key if you have one or can get hold of one. Or you can use a win10 key you bought five years ago, or this morning.

There are many threads on topics like
"Where can I buy a cheap license" on tenforums... try searching for those and you will seee multiple discussions on exactly this topic. Just search tenforums...

There was a magazine offer for 10 Pro originally about £40 then £50 - no idea if still valid - and yes, threads on tenforums.

    Just search tenforums
