Reason to install Windows 11
I have the option to install Windows 11 on my newest PC. Can anyone give me 3 good reason to switch to Windows 11?
If I go to Windows 11 will I keep the software that I have installed on Windows 10?

No, I will not argue for or against upgrading to Windows 11, that has to be a personal choice. Some like it, others find the new Taskbar functions too restricted. Browse Eleven Forum for more opinions on both sides, I see you are already registered there.
What I can say with confidence is that if you upgrade from W10 to W11 you will keep all your installed apps and files, just as you would with an in-place upgrade to a newer version of windows 10. There should be no compatibility issues. I have upgraded my main laptop from 10 to 11 and all my software (some of it very old) runs just the same in 11 as it did in 10.
The only reason to go to Windows 11 is personal choice. I like it for the very reasons that other people hate it. Less cluttered start menu and task bar.
1. FOMO
2. Nicer UI
3. You will eventually migrate to it so why not do it now
It is stable and will keep and run all your apps.
My machines are old and the hardware won't support Win11 but I have clients in a similar situation and know that eventually they will want to Upgrade, to that end needing to learn I found a decent price for a new Dell Vostro 14" Notebook, came with Win10 Pro. After I set it up with a Local Account Administrator it updated then offered Win11 which installed just as easily as Win10 did. As mentioned some of the things changed location such as Win10's left side of Start list is now on the right-click menu of the Start.
Hi,
There aren't three good reasons to install 11
Only one
You're bored.
Like some members have already said it's just personal preference. I tested it on my ancient i7-5900x and performed just as fine as w10. Right now you won't gain anything spectacular but won't lose anything spectacular either. I guess it will become better (with more features) in the near future.
WOW I was expecting more optinions for switching. I guess posting in the Windows 11 forum will get the same results.
Anyway thanks all for the responses.
If you like pale blue, rounded corners, widgets, improved multi-monitor support and a refreshed form of snap + a less functional taskbar, then go for it...
