How to stop 21H1 from installing

I'm sure this has been asked many times before. Nevertheless, is there a way to prevent the 21H1 update from installing on Windows 10 Pro?

You didn't mentioned if your version of Win 10 is Home or Pro.
If Pro, you can use Group policies (gpedit.msc) block update.

Thank you, but does that override the temporary pause limitation of 35 days?

Okay, so in the local group policy editor I went to the following:

    Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update/Configure Automatic Updates

From the three available options -- Not Configured, Enabled, Disabled -- I selected "Disabled." Will that override the 35 day pause limitation, thus giving me the choice of when to install updates (if at all) on my computer?

    Thank you for your help!

I don't know if 20H2 has the GPO for it,

    Check In

    Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Windows Update/Windows Updates For Business.

There should be a "Select target Feature Update Version" GPO. If it's there enable it and enter 20H2 in both fields.

This will force windows to stay on this version for ever. and never block any security updates.

Why don`t you want to update to 21H1 ?

And 21H2 will be out any time now.

That's also helpful, and I made that change! I was able to disable automatic updates (presumably) in Configure Automatic Updates, which now shows: "Your organization has turned off automatic updates" in the Windows Update settings section. Do you know if those two policy changes might conflict by any chance?

Thanks again for all the help!
