Definitely they will run on Win11, the caveat is around the performance gap. Note the original question was a hypothetical question to confirm "possibility" and the answer was yes. Whether this topic is about convincing to go into Win11 now is another matter. Eventually, we all upgrade but it just so happened I prefer not to at this time - it can wait. :)

If you've watched the entire benchmarking (and also his other videos in the past), you see the amount of work he puts on benchmarks, how he's transparent on certain differences of units under test, and how this can affect results and allows margin of error. He's actually one of the few good guys on the internet who does these things.

    P.S.
I like mostly third-person games and playing HZD atm. Next is Control and later GoW 2018 when it drops on PC. :)

Thanks for everyone's inputs. The question in scope of this topic has been solved so as not to drag attention away from other topics that still need help. Will probably head to Win11 Forums should I have anything Win11 specific. Cheers!

The performance gap is known but unfortunately has been used by some as "Click Bait" which has exaggerated the issue with some Models of AMD Rysen Processors having a performance hit of 5 to 15% with some games on Windows 11

This issue has recently been fixed with Microsoft Updates and a patch from AMD so is now more of a Non issue

Thanks Barman, I may possibly belong to the "some" population as I do have a Ryzen7 chip and he benchmarks laptops which is also more relatable to my usecase since I don't currently use PC/Desktop. Good to know Microsoft and AMD have released timely patches. Will let Win11 marinate more as people eventually discover new things to fix. Win10 is officially supported until 2025 so personally I am in no hurry. :)

Yes, but he seems to be all over the place as to exactly how bad gaming performance is on Windows 11. And my answer was no performance difference... but that's games I play with the hardware I have.

Also, his closing statement certainly doesn't t belie the headlines used to got viewers to click on the YouTube clip "Don't Upgrade Yet" with the angry face and a stop hand up. In fact his closing statement is basically "I'm not sure whether you should upgrade, but I can't since I don't have the hardware". That certainly doesn't match the angry headline

There also the fact that the performance he noted was (as always) game dependent... some games showed very little difference between the OS's, where others had slightly larger difference. Certainly not enough to declare "Windows 11 is worse for gaming".

There was nothing in my post to infer or suggest you stick with Windows 11. I simply stated I had no gaming issues with the OS myself.

Anyway, I meant no harm and you seem satisfied with the other answers given so... BTW, welcome to Windows 10, but don't forget the Windows Eleven forums should you have more 11 questions

    Peace 😎

    @krollo Kat,
Is there anything about Windows 11 so far that makes you want to have it? Rounded corners, maybe

You could install W10 as dual boot?

Thanks @sygnus21 and everyone for your responses. I simply took his "yet" as a precaution rather than an angry headline haha (more like "sure, just not right now" kinda thing). Jarrod's pretty chill since I've been following him a while for Ryzen gaming laptops in particular which as mentioned here is known for some performance dipping in Win11. He's upgrading to Win11 sometime next year in his next benchmarks and looking forward to that since he specialises in laptop benchmarking which is closer to my setup. :)

So far, only the centered taskbar.

Meanwhile, my next interest is actually on activating my Win10 Home to Win10 Pro (which I believe can also be used as Pro 11 licence in the future if I understood the Microsoft Store right).

Having some hiccups with the digital licence activation, so will post a separate thread. Cheers!

    Hi Kat,
Yes, you can easily do Home to Pro: Upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro

I would monitor elevenforum and see what they recommend about upgrading to 11. I personally don't think it's ready for prime time, but I haven't bothered trying it either.

FYI, you can have the Taskbar moved to the left - Right click Taskbar and hit Properties. Go down to "Taskbar Behaviors, click the down arrow, and next to Taskbar alignment, click the dropdown box and choose Left...

As I indicated before, I'm currently running the RTM release of Windows 11 now on system on in my system specs. I like the OS and have no issues with the OS as is. Definitely no performance issues - gaming or otherwise.

The best way to learn any OS is to explore it

@sygnus21 I actually hoped Win10 had the centered taskbar.

I slated my Win11 upgrade around mid-next year and also bought a Win 10/11 Pro digital licence in preparation. If Microsoft even lets me activate that is haha. Currently trying to troubleshoot here.
