Thanks.
I don't think that the file winload.efi is broken.
Let's do the following:
Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool from there:
Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
Then download this Fixlist.txt and copy the Fixlist into the same folder as the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool.
After that start the Farbar Tool and then answers the Disclaimer with yes:
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Disclaimer
Wait for the tool to say "The tool is ready to use" and then click Fix and wait for it to finish.
The Tool creates the Fixlog.txt file in the same folder where the Farbar Tool is located.
Upload the Fixlog.txt here.
See attached for the fixlog.txt file
sfc has replaced the winload.efi deleted by the fix with a new one.
You can try booting from the other version of Windows, but I don't think it will work.
Let me know.
SAME RESULTS - missing WINLOAD.EFI
On the "C" drive the WINLOAD.EFI shows 1,781 kb and was created on 1/12/2021
On the "D" drive the WINLOAD.EFI shows 1,763 kb and was created on 5/11/2020
I tried to copy thge WINLOAD.EFI file from the "C" drive to the "D" drive, but I got an access violation.
I am going to disconnect my "C" drive and try to get updates for the Windows 10 PRO drive.
Hopefully this will get it to work.
It's not the file!
I tried to explain that to you.
The file is fine and it was replaced by sfc / scannow when I deleted it with the Farbar Tool.
If you look at the properties of the file on drive D, you will see that it is digitally signed.
If it is corrupt it would not be.
It could be that the error is in the registry or the BCD store.
But I cannot say exactly.
Edit:
The file does not have to be the same size as on drive C.
Every now and then the file is updated as part of a cumulative update.
And from the log file I can see that the version of the Windows installation on drive D is very old.
At the moment I can't help anymore because I don't have time.
Which Windows 10 can you boot into? And when you boot into that Windows 10, which drive letter is the other Windows 10 installation getting?
good afternoon
i have been reading thru these posts i update my Bios to the latest version from Asus 3004 date 07/21

here is my question can i get another hard drive to download 11 and run 11 and my other programs from the old HD?
It's not the most polite thing to do to hijack a thread in the middle of trying to solve someone else's problem and shift the focus to your own issues. It would be best if you started your own thread so we don't end up with two different discussions to two different people on this thread. This thread should remain focused on solving @junieman511's issue in order to avoid confusions.
