I have this on my updates . I want to wait a while.
Do I have to do anything for the update not go trough?

I think you can wait, Win10 will have end of support in Oct. 2025. I had to get at one machine on Win11 but none I have will not fully comply with the Win11 requirements so got a new Dell Vostro 14" Notebook [decent sale at Dell] as I have clients that may not want to wait and will need help so I need to learn.

Hi there
seems a bit bonkers to offer this -- when I tried running it on one PC it simply said "This machine can't run Windows 11!" -- so why offer it on non compliant - or non installable hardware-- like having a door in a place with a notice saying "This door mustt never be unlocked".
At least the download should have said "Do you want to upgrade to W11". I suppose Customer service these days though is a concept lost in the antiquity of time.

In my humble opinion Windows 11 is nothing short of a revenue cash cow for Microsoft, no way am I going to buy a brand new W11 computer when I don't need to, and please don't think it will stop at 11

Would love to see your cash flow analysis to justify that statement, especially if you think this is a major contributor to their bottom line.
I certainly hope that Win 11 will not be the last as that would indicate it is at the end of its life.
At least you have realized that what you have works fine and you do not have to replace it at this time, and hopefully not anytime soon.

My first computer in '92 was right at $3000, a Hewitt Rand with AMD 80386/40MHz CPU, 4MB RAM, 120MB HDD, 14" monitor and Panasonic DotMatrix printer with the color kit. Got a new Dell Vostro 14" Notebook, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD with Win10 a week ago for $599, large difference as technology progressed.

This is funny, people starting threads because they get the Notification and don`t want to install 11 yet, and other people starting threads because they haven`t received the Notification but want to install 11.

I'm quite happy with my Desktops that can't be upgraded and not ready to replace them yet. But I did get a new Notebook that after updating Win10 did the Upgrade to Win11, it works good but the display of/location of things is different and because one of my clients may jump on Win11 I need to know more about what is different from Win10.
I'm not OCD about the looks of everything like seen posted on forums, if I were I'd do like a number of folks have and use the Open Source Linux and design my own [came from MS-DOS and Win3.1 in '92 and building computers since '94].
