    Will Windows 11 fix this?

I am running Windows 10 PRO and have been having problems for some time.
    No Start Menu.
Have to open Task Manager to switch tabs in Edge and sometimes in Firefox.
    Other things I can't remember.

So, if I upgrade to Windows 11, will these issues go away?

I would do a clean install of Windows 10 or Windows 11. Either would be free.
Once you have a clean install taken care of, then start using backup software, like Macrium Reflect (free).

I would suggest Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

With a repair-install you generally get the option to keep your personal files and apps. You would lose those with a clean install. Make a backup of your current installation first.

You could try this first if you want to see if it fixes the start menu issue:
Re-register Start Menu in Windows 10

Before that please create a new user for test purposes.
Log in as that user, and see if you see the same problems.

If you do, an in-place upgrade repair install may well help.

If you don't, the problems are specific to your user profile.

Good point on testing with a second account, dalchina.

I find it invaluable to have a second backup account for testing purposes when there's something odd going on in my main account.
