    Latest version installation issue

After windows update trashed my workstation I decided to start again from scratch.
Bought a new SSD, Samsung 870, as my INTEL one is now 8 years old.
Downloaded the latest win 10 ISO and burnt it to DVD - so far so good.
Booted workstation with DVD - installation would not run
Removed bits from worstation one at a time and eventually found it was the Adaptec 6805T/6805TQ
    Win then installed ok
Put all the system etc drivers in and base utilities, did the reconfigurations and app deletions to create a usable system.
Windows boot time was then less than 15 seconds - impressed.
Refitted the Adaptec controller - windows took around 10 minutes to boot and then needed a reboot.
Loaded the correct driver and rebooted, several times.
Each time boot time was arround 170 seconds !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on, and how to fix it please
The previous version of win10, 20H, booted fine, never timed it but a reasonable period.

Seems that a correct Adaptec 6805T driver is missing.
Open Device manager. Is there any yellow alerts of missing drivers?
    Adaptec 6805t driver- Microsoft Windows 10 x64

Is the firmware up to date?

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply

The driver is the latest one
There is a newer firmware version, which I have downloaded - however, there is no way to install it
Instructions - boot device from a DOS boot disk - I threw mine away 20 years ago!
Load from storage manager - how - if I select upgrade firmware it gives me a selection screen but there is no way to browse to find the file, nothing is active, so I am stuck.

    Any advice please
    thanks

Had an idea - ran manager in Chrome instead of Firefox 93.
Chrome does not like it - it thinks its a dangerous site - Localhost - but worked around that.
Selection box is present and update commenced.
    Rebooted when finished

Boot time is now 190 seconds - so its made things worse

You can boot a win 10 installation drive and launch a CMD window (Shift+F12) and run the install from there. It is a Win10 DOS like.
