Need help fixing mbr to gpt error, Disk layout validation failed

Hi, I'm new here and was actually sent here by a Microsoft tech support rep.

I have an ASUS ROG STRIX B450-F Gaming with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, 16GB of RAM at 3600Mhz, and a Radeon RX560 GPU.
    I have Win10 Home Version 21H2 OS Build 19044.1266

I had known months ago that I was going to upgrade to Win 11 as soon as it was available, however, when I built this PC UEFI was new to me and I didn't know that I was going to need it. So, it currently runs on both UEFI and Legacy mode and when I turn on the TPM I can't get the secure boot to work, because the BIOS in UEFI mode only, won't boot my C:/ OS boot drive. So, I need help trying to fix this because I've been running in circles and just need someone else to look at it and help me out. I hope that my attachments will be all that you need, if you need more just let me know.

    Thank you in advanced.

mbr2gt is very finnicky. I think the isuue you have is the system ( active) partition is on disk0.

If you want to use mbr2gpt, I suggest:

    1) mark the C partition active
    2) open an admin cmd prompt and type :
    bcdboot c:\windows /s c:
    (then press enter).

Now check you can boot directly into disk2 by using the one time boot menu ( usually tap f12 at post and a menu pops up - select whatever disk2 shows as)

Then look in disk mgmt and check that your C partition is displaying active, system and boot

[ mbr2gpt is too picky for my liking. I normally use diskgenius to do the conversion, then get it to create the esp and msr partitions, and use bcdboot to add the boot critical files to the newly created esp partition.]

I thought that might be the issue, however when I try to mark C: as active in Disk Management, I get an error that is in the below image. Need help fixing mbr to gpt error, Disk layout validation failed-screenshot-2021-10-08-215500.png

    from administrator cmd prompt:

    diskpart
    sel vol c
    act
    exi
    bcdboot c:\windows /s c:

or you can use a 3rd party partitioner such as diskgenius free version.

Okay so below are the results of both of your suggestions of which I don't understand what or where to go next since I've never used disk genius

SO, what I ultimately did was download Window PE and then go into UEFI Bios and turned the tpm back on, then changed the system to UEFI only and then when I saved and restarted it restarted and booted up in Windows PE mode and then did a fix using a different 3rd party software that was recommended by the Microsoft Rep called Macrium Reflect. It asked me what drive was supposed to be the the boot drive and then it did it's thing and restarted and booted up into windows 10. I then checked disk management and it now shows the C: drive as Active, and I was still trying to get the SSD from MBR to GPT however, before I did that it says it wanted to make sure I backed up all of C: and while trying to do that, I went ahead and looked into the Windows PC Health Check app which had 2 problems with me before today, secure boot and TPM, but now it showed everything was good to go. Thank you for all your help, you really helped me out and made me use my brain in a different way than I was. Thank you.

ajmorin369, do you know why you have System reserved partition in drive 0 and Windows and Recovery partition in drive 2?
That is because drive 0 was your boot drive with windows on it and you installed Win 10 on drive 2 WITHOUT detaching (SATA or Power cable) drive 0 from the MB.

Let us know if you succeed on converting the Legacy-MBR drive 2 into UEFI-GPT.
I strongly recommend that you detach ALL other drives (SATA or Power cable) from the MB, leaving on only drive 2.

Well, I really messed up. After I wrote my last post I was somehow able to copy the small partition on G: and put it on C: however once the computer restarted everything stopped working and now I'm just trying to figure out how to get it back up and running because now I can't get anywhere but the bios and the very limited PE area that had sort of started it. It won't let me undo it and when I tried to repair it, it just makes it look like the C: drive middle partition in not usable. So now using my raspberry pi 3 I'm trying to find a way to get a windows boot disk on a USB stick in Linux. Grr.

    Ok try this...

Boot from the Macrium Rescue media, and choose: Fix Boot Problems, and do what it tells you.

Need help fixing mbr to gpt error, Disk layout validation failed-0000-macrium-rescue-media-screenshot.png

Then, boot into Windows, and run the MBR2GPT command again. mbr2gpt /convert /allowfullOS

Hopefully, it will work this time. IF it does, restart the computer and go immediately, into the BIOS.

On the Boot Tab, set the things in the RED circles as shown... then Save and Exit the BIOS.
Now try to boot into Windows... it should work.

If everything works... post back here, and in the meantime, I'll post how to get things set up for Windows 11.

This is from your motherboard manual...

    /edit

NOW... assuming all the above, worked... then go back into the BIOS and set TPM and Secure Boot as shown.
Then save and exit the BIOS.
